Last updated: August 2026

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of WagGo and the dog walking services booked through our platform. By creating an account, booking a walk or otherwise using WagGo, you agree to these Terms.

1. About WagGo

1.1 WagGo is operated by OverlyTech (Pty) Ltd, registration number K2026/178205/07.

1.2 WagGo provides a platform through which customers can book dog walking services in selected service areas.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

2.1 You must be at least 18 years old, or otherwise have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract under South African law, to create a WagGo account or book a walk.

2.2 You are responsible for providing accurate and current information when creating and maintaining your WagGo account. You are also responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

2.3 You must not use WagGo to provide false information, impersonate another person or interfere with the operation or security of the platform.

3. Service Areas

3.1 WagGo currently operates only in selected service areas. Service availability may change as WagGo expands or adjusts its operations.

3.2 A successful account registration or booking request does not guarantee that every requested location, date or time will be available.

4. Bookings

4.1 Bookings are subject to availability. WagGo may limit the availability of booking times to ensure that walks can be delivered safely and reliably.

4.2 Customers are responsible for ensuring that booking information, including the selected pet, date and pickup address, is correct before completing a booking.

4.3 WagGo may contact you if changes are required to a booking due to operational, safety or availability reasons.

5. Your Dog and Pet Information

5.1 You are responsible for providing accurate information about your dog, including its size, age and any information that may be relevant to the safe handling of your pet.

5.2 You must disclose any known behaviour, health, aggression, anxiety or other information that may reasonably affect the safety of the walker, your dog, other animals or members of the public.

5.3 WagGo may refuse, pause or cancel a walk where it reasonably believes that continuing would create a safety risk.

6. Owner Responsibilities

6.1 You are responsible for ensuring that WagGo can safely access your dog at the scheduled pickup time.

6.2 You must provide any necessary instructions regarding access to the property, gates, security procedures or other relevant arrangements.

6.3 You must ensure that your dog is reasonably fit and suitable for the booked walking service and has access to any equipment or information reasonably required for the walk.

7. Walkers and Independent Contractor Status

7.1 Dog walks booked through WagGo are carried out by independent contractors engaged by WagGo. Walkers are not employees, agents or partners of OverlyTech (Pty) Ltd.

7.2 WagGo takes reasonable steps to select and manage walkers, but walkers exercise independent judgment in carrying out a walk in accordance with WagGo's standards and instructions.

8. Payments

8.1 Payments are processed through PayFast. WagGo does not store your full payment card or banking information.

8.2 A booking may be subject to payment confirmation before it is treated as successfully paid.

8.3 Prices displayed on WagGo may change from time to time. The applicable price for a booking will be shown before payment is completed.

9. Cancellations and Changes

9.1 Cancellation, rescheduling and refund rules are governed by WagGo's Cancellation and Refund Policy.

9.2 WagGo may cancel or reschedule a booking where necessary due to safety concerns, severe weather, emergencies, operational constraints or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

10. Emergencies and Safety

10.1 If an emergency occurs during a walk, WagGo may take reasonable action to protect the health and safety of your dog.

10.2 Where reasonably possible, WagGo will attempt to contact you or your designated emergency contact before making significant decisions regarding your dog.

10.3 In an emergency where immediate action is reasonably necessary, WagGo may seek veterinary attention or other appropriate assistance.

11. Liability

11.1 WagGo will take reasonable care in providing its services. However, dog walking involves inherent risks, including unpredictable animal behaviour, environmental conditions and interactions with other animals or people.

11.2 Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law.

12. Suspension or Termination

12.1 WagGo may suspend or terminate access to an account where there is suspected misuse, fraudulent activity, repeated violations of these Terms or a reasonable safety concern.

13. Governing Law

13.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of WagGo will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts, without limiting any right you may have under applicable consumer protection law to bring a claim in another appropriate forum.

14. Changes to These Terms

14.1 WagGo may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be published on this page with a revised effective date.
